Since 1997 The Farm Yard Personnel has welcomed numerous Primary- and Pre-Schools for an exceptional educational visit.

We are situated within easy reach of schools in Pretoria, Kempton Park and the East Rand, Midrand, Centurion and the West Rand – located on the same premises as Wag ‘n Bietjie Camp Site. Our farm is located between Pretoria and Kempton Park, just east of the R 21 highway, close to Olifantsfontein.

A Minimum of 50 learners are required per group.

Please note that we are not open to the general public.

An educational program from 09:00 to 12:00 is presented by our trained staff.

The Farm Yard closes at 13:00

Informative lectures will broaden learners’ knowledge as well as maximize their farm experience.

The program consists of the following:

● Arena show: Milking of a cow, lecture on cattle, sheep, goats & pigs.
● Visit to Poultry enclosures: Includes exotic ducks, swans, turkeys, geese, peacocks, guinea fowl & laying hens.
● Other animals on the farm: Horses, donkeys, tortoises, porcupines & monkeys.
● Interesting animals to learn about: Camels, alpacas, emus & ostriches
● Feeding of animals: Learners must bring along own animal food like bread, vegetables, fruit etc.
● A ride on the safari truck.

During Breaks:

● Two 30 minute breaks are included between lectures.
● Own lunches can be enjoyed
● Lunch packages for learners (book in advance)
● Play park
● Tuck Shop
